Dr. Russell Libby Physician & Avid Skier Virginia Pediatric Group

“Having first-hand knowledge of the excellence of ACE Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine Institute, I recommend them without qualification.”

When ACE Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine Institute was opening its Herndon location, it needed letters of recommendation from area physicians to get business license in the Town of Herndon. One came from Dr. Libby, a past president of the Medical Society of Northern Virginia. When he needed therapy following back surgery, Dr. Libby found the road back to his active lifestyle went through ACE Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine Institute.

Dr. Libby, a pediatrician and host of a monthly television show that helps educate the public on a wide variety of medical issues, needed four spinal fusions for chronic back pain. As soon as his doctor said he could begin therapy, Dr. Libby was at ACE Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine Institute so he could get back to seeing patients and to “the things I enjoy. I’m an avid skier, I like to bike and do other kinds of outdoor activities.”

He spent about three months at ACE Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine Institute and says he vividly remembers the personal attention he and everyone who goes there receives. “The therapists are very attentive. They listened to me as I described my symptoms and consulted with my referring doctor about my progress and on what I needed to be doing during my therapy. The equipment, the staff, everything is excellent.” So good, in fact, Russell uses ACE Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine Institute to talk with the physicians in his practice on how to avoid injury and how to recognize the need for therapy.

Like many people who go to ACE Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine Institute, family members and friends often follow. When Russell’s daughters needed therapy for injuries, they too used ACE Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine Institute. “They went after knee and ankle injuries and had good experiences.”
